and my little sister's talent!

my little sister is 17 and on top of being amazing at absolutely everything she does, she's also an aspiring photographer! she's up here from az so this weekend we did Alix's 5 month pics and i had her do all the pics and edit them however she wanted to.. here's what i got :D i love you erika!

the lake, the park and the space needle!

the beautiful weather finally came to WA this month! thank goodness! and with Erika and Austin here we've been having fun outside just about every day! Alix LOVES the swings at the park! she kinda hated the water at the lake, but she and i had tons of fun playing in the shade while her aunt and uncle were swimming. and we had a fun day in Seattle with Erika, Austin, and Grammy Tammy. here's some fun pics from the lake, the Space Needle,and from playing at the park :)

five months old! Alix's accomplishments!

Alix is already five months old! i cant believe it!she's growing so fast! i will have her five month pics in a few days, but till then i want to let you in on a few milestones she's hit this last week or so :)

she can sit up all on her own! she's taken a few spills and landed on her head a couple of times, but all in all she's done amazingly well!


she has rolled over from her tummy to her back a few times-- twice at 2 months old, then regularly starting a couple of weeks ago... she just learned how to roll from her back this week! i laid her down on her play mat and looked away for a minute and when i looked back i found this... so i missed the actual roll, but i put her on her back again and she did it again for me :) since then she's been rolling over and back (mostly for erika- she likes her nose lol)



the pediatrician told us at her 4 month visit to start giving Alix a sippie cup at 5 months, so i gave it to her wednesday and it was a much bigger hit than i thought it would be! she loved having a little bit of mama's milk from it! mostly i think she just liked how it felt on her poor little gums (she's teething)



we are so blessed to have such an amazing little girl! just around the corner: crawling and walking! i dont think i'm ready to chase after her, but watching her grow is so fun and exciting!

erika and austin are visiting for a few weeks, but i will blog about that later... this one is just to show off my adorable little patriot! happy birthday america!

we had a good time setting off fire works! they're loud and hot and pretty! and alix loved them.. till she got tired and fell asleep. and it was cold and pouring outside when we were trying to light the wet fuzes and it didnt work too well so we let them dry out and lit them up today lol
