more baby alix pics :)

that last post didnt have lots of pics cuz the internet connection in the hospital was really slow on the upload, but now we're home so here's some way cute pics of our amazing little girl :)

alright finally the news everyone has been waiting for, she's here!!
Alix Marie Ward arrived tuesday feb. 16, 2010 at 5:49 pm washington time so an hour later in az. she was 7 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long!
we were admitted to the hospital monday, the day before delivery, at ten in the morning because even though i wasnt having real labor contractions i was dilated to 5 cm already... after 12 hours in the hospital i hadnt progresses any farther than that so we were given the choice to either go home or start pitocin to get it moving, so we did the latter. 7 hours into the pitocin i got an epidural due to the fact that the pain was getting hard and i still hadnt dilated any farther. around 6 am tuesday (an hour after the epidural) i was checked again and was still at 5!! they proceeded to break my water at that time and within an hour i was 10 cm and ready to go, but baby was still high up. i started pushing on my own around 10 am, and started really pushing with the nurses there at about 11:30. after a few hours of that the baby wasnt moving down at all so the doctor came in and let me know we'd need a c section. the epidural was wearing off by this time so i was very ready to be done... so i was wheeled into surgery at 5:30 pm and she was here 19 minutes later :) she wasnt coming out on her own because she was facing sideways so her head got stuck. she came out with a bruise on the top of her head that has since caused jaundice as it heals, so we are still in the hospital- hoping to be able to go home soon! she's a perfect little girl and is sleeping and eating very well! we love her so much! she was very worth the wait and the pain, but having her sooner with less pain would have been nice ;)

due tomorrow... still no baby

just an update... no baby yet. i am officially due tomorrow. if i'm still pregnant this weekend i'm going see if they will induce me saturday, but they dont think i'll make it till then. as of today i am 2 cm dilated, but i could stay like that for a while or she could come tonight... its up to her :) i hope its sooner than later but either way it wont be much longer!!

HOLY CRAP!!!

I'M DUE IN FOUR WEEKS!!!!

i had my baby shower this weekend :) it was fun.. i'll put up pics later.

the best thing about the shower being done with is now i get to go shopping for everything i still need... which is pretty much everything!!! i have 4 newborn diapers that i got as free samples and a pack of size 3 or 4 that i got at my baby shower in az in october... so needless to say i need to go get me some diapers
and wipes
and bottles
and pacifiers
and an infant carseat
and a bed for this baby... that could be a good thing... i just ordered it online and its supposed to come between the 14th and 19th... so hopefully it gets here before Alix does...

i'm so excited and SOOOO ready to be done!!

baby alix!! its a girl!!

we're having a little girl!! they changed my due date to feb 9th 2010 (moved back 19 days!!!) but thats ok... here's her ultrasound pic :)

the puppies are here!!

they were worn saturday august 8th in the middle of the night... i noticed belle was having contractions around 3 a.m. when i was gonna go to bed so i sat up with her a while to see if they got stronger which they did... the first little girl was born around 5:20 a.m. and she looks just like willie!! (black and tan) the other 3 girls who all are red like belle were born at 6:15, 7:30 and 8:45- ish. i didnt keep track of the exact times.. i went to bed after number 4 but scott stayed up to make sure whe was done... she wasnt. she had a boy at like 9:50 and scott helped and was really excited about it cuz he did it all by himself lol. that was all of them. they are so cute!!!
in order of birth their names are stella, mini (mini belle), pepperoni, lilly, and frank. i wanted to give them all hot dog related names but there aren't really many of those that are cute for girls...
